There is this one team going into the summer with an awesome feeling. The feeling of having ButtonBashers supporting you all summer long to all major events and €1000 cash as a welcomes gift!
This team, consisting of nothing but famous names, is none other than 4 and a half men, the one and only winners of the ButtonBashers cup: Bash The Summer Away! They have been the favourites from the beginning, well from the signups already. But making it also come true is a different story..
The favourites did make it come true and not just win it, but not even losing a single map! They have won all their matches (all matches were Best of 3) with 2-0. Their root to the Finals was:
4,5 men [2 -0] MachineGunFunk 4,5 men [2-0] aG.Sky 4,5 men [2-0] ATX 4,5 men [2-0] Team Aoki
Then they had to face DOK Gaming who won their Semi Final, also in a 2-0, versus ButterBashers.
Grand Final: 4,5 men [2-0] DOK Gaming
mp_Crash: 13 - 5
mp_Strike: 13 - 11
Winning the cup means they will receive financial support to attend Outpost on Fire 3, The-eXperience and UKeSA Finals. Like mentioned earlies, as promised the winner of the cup will also receive 1000€ cash to celibraty the holidays.
The team is pretty fresh and therefor they don’t have a big history yet. Though, all of the players have great experience, fame and a history that goes back long, long ago! duffeR and nreo know each other for a long time already and played together in former teams such as The Last Resort & FatGames. Also qwertY (ex LLL & H2k), Davy (ex TEK-9 & Team Infused and L-King (ex TEK-9 & SK-Gaming) know each other for a long time. After the disappointing iSeries event with the old lineup, the team had the idea to gather 5 people, who combine skill and friendship. “Adding Davy and qwertY was just a logical step then and the results show that it works out.”
The ButtonBashers.CoD4 line up: Daniel "L-KiNG" Luther Ryan "dUffER" Duffy Ralph "qwertYYY" Balder Davy "Davy" Sysmans Chris "nreo" Mead Jasdev "JUSZN" Virdee (ESL backup)

We hope this will be the begining of a busy summer with us as the side now have UKeSA, EPS, OOF and TEX trips to plan!"

I guess we were lucky enough that BB gave us the chance for playing this tournament. The obvious motivationboost that we get now will allow us to perform even more! Thanks BB for the tournament and shoutout to plusONE for helping us along the way."
Statement from Daniel "L-KiNG" Luther, ButtonBashers CoD4 Player: "BB was the chance we were looking for and we took it. Today Robert Bowling, community manager of Infinity Ward released the first trailer of Modern Warfare 2, the next in the Call of Duty series. With many despising the PC version of Call of Duty 5, Modern Warfare promises to bring the gamers another game they like. This 2 minute 7 seconds movie will give you hints as to what to expect with the full game and in from the looks of it we might have another top game hitting the shelves.
When the game will be hitting the shelves is now also known, the 10th of November has been announced as the official release date.
Infamous Finnish team cZar today announce some changes to their line-up and to their organisation. Famous for their online capabilities and for their notorious 'online only' tag, the Finnish side have been working their way up in the world of CoD4 during the last few months with great performances in every competition they have entered online, and doing decent at LAN.
After announcing changes a while back with ninlex and Heroxzi departing from the team for various reasons, the team picked up saruz and most recently sLWx. However today, once again, the team is forced to make changes due to real life commitments and some internal problems.
Doobi will be stepping down from the team to focus on his girlfriend and studies and will be replaced by Jani "Filter" Ylenius. Filter is mostly known for his time in Epsilon, where he also played together with sLWx, thus making the choice easy for the team. The team is hoping to pick things up from where they were left and continue their dominance online, and soon hopefully offline at events as well.
Next to their line-up change, the team also announces another major change, namely leaving their organisation, cZar. Reason for this is the lack of support from the organisation, and the team is hoping to find an organisation elsewhere who can meet their demands in a better way. For now the team will continue playing under the name of 2Good4Lan (2G4L), and we will be seeing them in all major online competitions.
2Good4Lan line-up is the following:
Sasu "saruz" Salakka
Niko "nipazki" Rauhanmaa
Ville "rEplan" Ijäs
Samuli "sLWx" Kettunen
Jani "Filter" Ylenius
Statement Toni "d0obi" Kalliomäki to TEK-9.org: After Winter Assembly '09, our line-up came up with some major changes. Ninlex had to quit because he went to study in Japan as an exchange-student. For his place we found saruz, who we knew pretty well. So we played a few months, after that we were facing another problem. Heroxzi was starting to be inactive, because there was nothing to play for. As we were thinking who would replace him, we thought that sLWx would be interested in us, and after a couple of weeks we took him in. Then we started to work hard and got really good results with this lineup. Our performance was perfect online, I would have wanted to see what we could have done with this lineup at lan too, and so did the whole cod4-scene. I have focused very much in my girlfriend and I must go to army next January, also I want to
focus more on my real life. I can't hope anything else than everything good for this team, after all the fighting and shit. I especially like to thank Nipazki and rEplan for our teamwork, maybe we'll see in cod6! The main reason me quitting from this team is the relationship with certain people, inactivity during our practicing times, and because of real life relationships. Hopefully we'll be in touch and hear from you. Love you all, Nipazki & rEplan cu in bar! Thanks for RAW and cZar-gaming. I will continue my gaming career if the right team gives me an offer.
Statement Sasu "saruz" Salakka to TEK-9.org: Its very sad that we have to remove doobi, but now it seems that its the right thing to do. We knew that Filter is a great player, and after weeks of thinking, we think that he was the one to replace doobi. It feels very sad to leave czar, but as there is no support to us, there is no reason to stay.
Following the recent departure of ButtonBashers Call of Duty 4 squad we've been looking for a replacement team to compete under the BB flag this summer.
Instead of going out and picking up a new team based on reputation we decided to open the floor up to the community at large to compete for the right to play under the BB flag this summer. The winning side will become ButtonBashers CoD4 squad, receive financial backing to attend the UKeSA finals, Outpost on Fire and The Experience and the winning team will also take home €1000 as a first placed prize.
The tournament to determine the next BB CoD4 squad will take place on Monday 1st of June and will be open to 16 teams. The tournament will take place over just 3 maps to aid teams preparation for the event and each match will be best of three, those maps are backlot, crash and strike. Additionally due to media plans that we have regarding the summer events we must insist that any potential lineup include a minimum of 2 players who are either Dutch or English. Any team wishing to signup must be eligible to sign a 3 month contract with ButtonBashers and does not have a conflicting contract with another multigaming organisation that they cannot remove themselves from, additionally all signups will be vetted to prevent any teams known to us to have issues either internally or with a prolific history of joining and leaving organisations. To signup you must register all your players on the ButtonBashers site post on the following forum thread:
